Bruce Stevenson is a versatile singer/guitarist with 2 CDs available: “Hoodoo Bayou” and “Runaway Rebel Girl”.
“Hoodoo Bayou”, the most recent release, is almost 60 minutes of swampy blues rock with a nod to New Orleans, a dash of country flavor, and the occasional Beatlesque ballad thrown in for good measure.
Produced by Greg Elkins and Bruce at Desolation Row Studio in Raleigh, NC, the disc features top Carolina musicians Brian Quast on drums and Jesse Huebner on bass. Also featured are such NC favorites as Caitlin Cary on vocals, Scott “Goner” Phillips on piano, Clark Stern on piano, Mike Mazerick on sax, and Greg Elkins on pedal steel guitar. Bruce plays electric and acoustic guitar, dobro, harmonica, and percussion, and sings lead and background vocals and also did all of the artwork for “Hoodoo Bayou”.
Bruce is also available as a solo acoustic singer/guitarist/ harmonica player performing both classic and original blues, rock, folk, and more.
Bruce also previously sang and played guitar and harmonica with James Oden and Allen Baker in the Irish trio Irish Wolfhounds.
